One Mexican Club

Benny and I went down to Austin this past weekend to kick it with Cody, it was his bday. Well ALL night and morning we talked bout eating IHOP. So we leave his crib hungover ready to eat. We jump on the hight way and figure a IHOP will be with in the next few exits. HELL NO!!!! A hour and 15 mins later we finally see a sign for a IHOP. We get in take our seats no clue where we're at. We realize we didnt eat the day before so we're super hungry. We eat and make small talk with the chic surver. We mentioned we still had a drive to get home and she asked where we're from and what we're doing there. We say we live in Dallas and down there to party. Her response was, "PARTY IN TEMPLE?!?!?!". We were like na, we partyed in Austin. We then asked what the scene's like in there o'Temple. She replys with all there is a one Mexican club and other then that some place throws a party on Tuesdays.






We leave there and come across this little gem down the road and right across from it is a Tejano Club.....it all makes sence now.








I need to go back one day and visit....... get drunk and get my griitoooo on!!!










Side note...while there Cody mentioned how his band is getting back togeather, they had all been doing side projects.....peep them out, me really dig them and they're all great.

Taping on a new show I'm doing music for is this weekend and here is the intro by Syntax Strange

No remixes for the yungsters

ok so last year I had this happen a few times. Here is this weekends tale of it again. Party was for yungsters, After they sung "happy birthday" to the girls (party was for 2 sisters) I played the TI/Rhianna Live your life song. Well I played a new remix I got with Pitbull on it. In the remix it cuts out TI’s first verse and replaces it with a new Pitbull verse. Ok so they hear the song, get the hype response, the kids start dancing, they sing the first chorus and when the new Pitbull verse kicks in they got hella confused, stop dancing stop singing. The chorus kicks in and it grabs them back. Well I guess they expected the first TI verse now, but the remix goes into his second verse, throws them off again. I was on the floor laughing watching this go down.

This confused look happend too many times playing for the youth last year and now at my first gig of the new year. For now on no playing a new remix with a different structure then the version on the radio.
